Your Smart TV can run Mint IPTV on its own. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) televisions both have an app store with several IPTV players inside it, so you do not need a Firestick, an Android box, or any other hardware. You install a player, activate it once with your playlist, and the TV remote does the rest.
The only thing that makes Smart TV setup different from Firestick setup is activation. Most Smart TV players cannot type a long server address comfortably with a TV remote, so instead they show you a Device ID on screen, and you paste your playlist into their website from your phone or laptop. It sounds odd the first time, but it takes two minutes.
- Samsung Tizen or LG webOS Smart TV
- Mint IPTV Subscription
- Smartphone or PC
Step 1: Open your TV's App Store
Both brands keep their app store on the home screen, but they use different names for it.
- Press the Home button on your TV remote to open the launcher.
- On a Samsung TV, move to Apps and open the magnifying glass (Search) in the top-right corner.
- On an LG TV, open the LG Content Store, then choose Apps and use the search field.
- Make sure your TV is connected to the internet first. If the store will not open at all, the TV is offline — check Settings > Network.
Step 2: Install a supported IPTV player
Any of the players below will work with Mint IPTV. Install one of them — you do not need all four.
- IPTV Smarters Pro — the easiest option if it is available in your store, because it accepts a direct username and password login (Xtream Codes) and needs no website activation at all.
- IBO Player / IBO Pro Player — very stable on both Samsung and LG. Uses the Device ID activation method.
- Flix IPTV — clean interface, good EPG (TV guide) support. Uses Device ID activation.
- Smart IPTV (SIPTV) — the oldest and most widely supported player, especially on TVs from 2016–2019.
- Select the app and press Install. When it finishes, press Open or Launch.
Step 3: Copy your Device ID / MAC address
When a Device-ID player opens for the first time it shows an activation screen. Do not close it.
-
Look for a line called Device ID, Device Key, or MAC Address. A MAC address looks like
a1:b2:c3:d4:e5:f6. - Take a photo of that screen with your phone, or write the code down carefully. One wrong character and activation will fail.
- Leave the TV on this screen while you complete the next step on your phone or computer.
Step 4: Upload your playlist on the player's website
This is done from your phone or PC browser, not from the TV.
-
Open the activation page for the player you installed: IBO Player → iboplayer.com/deviceFlix IPTV → flixiptv.comSmart IPTV → siptv.app/mylist
- Type in the Device ID / MAC address you copied in Step 3.
- In the Playlist URL or M3U URL field, paste the long link from your Mint IPTV welcome email. Copy and paste it — never retype it by hand.
- Give the playlist a name such as Mint IPTV, then press Add, Send or Upload.
- Most of these players are free for a 7-day trial and then ask for a small one-time activation fee. That fee goes to the app developer, not to Mint IPTV, and it is charged once per TV, for life.
Step 5: Reload the app and start watching
The TV app does not refresh by itself — you have to restart it once.
- Go back to the TV and fully close the player. On Samsung press Back until you exit; on LG press the X on the app card.
- Open the player again. It will now download your channel list, movies and series.
- The first load can take 1–3 minutes depending on your connection. Let it finish without pressing anything.
- You should land on the main screen with Live TV, Movies and Series. Setup is complete.
Alternative: Direct login with Xtream Codes
If you installed IPTV Smarters Pro, skip the website entirely and log in on the TV itself.
- Open IPTV Smarters Pro and accept the terms.
- Choose Login with Xtream Codes API — not "Load your playlist or file".
- Any Name: type Mint TV. Username, Password and Server URL all come from your welcome email.
- Press Add User. The channels load immediately, with no activation fee and no second device.
Troubleshooting
The app is not in my store
Some IPTV players are region-locked. Change your TV region to United States or United Kingdom in Settings, then reboot the TV and search again.
Channels buffer on the TV but not on my phone
Smart TVs have famously weak Wi-Fi chips. Run an Ethernet (LAN) cable to the TV if you can — it fixes buffering in the large majority of cases.
"Device not activated" or "Trial expired"
The player's own trial has ended. Pay the one-time activation fee on the player's website using the same Device ID. Your Mint IPTV subscription is separate and unaffected.
Playlist loads but it is empty
The M3U URL was pasted incorrectly, or it has a trailing space. Delete the playlist on the activation site and paste the link again straight from your email.
My TV is older than 2016
Very old Tizen and webOS models cannot run current players. Use a cheap Firestick or Android box instead — the picture quality will actually be better.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to pay extra for the Smart TV app?
Most Device-ID players (IBO, Flix, SIPTV) charge a small one-time activation fee after a 7-day trial. That payment goes to the app developer, not to Mint IPTV, and it covers that TV permanently. IPTV Smarters Pro has no fee.
Which app is best for Samsung and LG?
IPTV Smarters Pro if your store has it, because it logs in directly with a username and password. Otherwise IBO Player is the most reliable across both brands.
Can I watch on the TV and my phone at the same time?
Only if your plan includes more than one connection. A standard plan allows one stream at a time. The Family Plan and multi-connection plans allow several.
Where do I find my M3U URL?
It is in the welcome email Mint IPTV sent after your order. If you cannot find it, contact support and we will resend it.
