How to Setup Mint IPTV on a MAG Box

The classic Stalker portal method for MAG 250, 254, 256, 322, 324, 349, 420 and 540 receivers.

How to Setup Mint IPTV on a MAG Box

MAG boxes work differently from every other device. There is no app to install and no username to type. Instead, the box identifies itself to the server using its MAC address, and your subscription is attached to that MAC address by our team. Once that link exists, you simply point the box at a portal address and everything appears.

This means there is one extra step at the start that no other platform has: you must send us your MAC address and wait for it to be registered. Skip that and the portal will never load, no matter how carefully you type the URL.

  • MAG receiver
  • Mint IPTV Subscription
  • Your MAG MAC address
Important: A MAG subscription is locked to one MAC address. If you later replace the box, contact support to move your line across — do not buy a second subscription.

Step 1: Find your MAC address

Every MAG receiver has a unique MAC address that always begins with 00:1A:79.

  1. Turn the box over and look at the sticker on the base. The MAC is printed there, in the format 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX.
  2. If the sticker is missing or unreadable, switch the box on and go to Settings > System Settings > System Information. The MAC is listed on that screen.
  3. On some firmware versions the path is Settings > System Info instead — either way, look for the line labelled MAC.
  4. Write it down carefully. The letters are hexadecimal, so a 0 is a zero and never the letter O.

Step 2: Send the MAC address to Mint IPTV

Your subscription cannot work until this MAC is registered on our server.

  1. Send the full MAC address to our support team by the contact page, WhatsApp or email.
  2. Include your order number or the email address you used to purchase, so we can match the MAC to your line.
  3. Registration is normally completed within a few minutes during working hours.
  4. Wait for our confirmation before continuing. Entering the portal early will simply show an error.

Step 3: Open the portal settings

Now configure the box itself.

  1. From the MAG main menu, open Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Go to System Settings.
  3. Select Servers.
  4. Select Portals. You will see fields for Portal 1 and Portal 2.

Step 4: Enter the Mint IPTV portal

Fill in Portal 1 and leave Portal 2 empty unless you use a second provider.

  1. In Portal 1 Name, type Mint. This is only a label, so anything readable is fine.
  2. In Portal 1 URL, type the Stalker portal address from your welcome email. It normally ends in /c/ or /stalker_portal/c/.
  3. Check every character. The most common MAG problem by far is a mistyped portal address.
  4. Press OK to save, then choose Restart Portal when the box offers it.
Tip: The MAG on-screen keyboard hides the forward slash behind the symbols key. Press the Sym or 123 button on the virtual keyboard to reach / and :.

Step 5: Reboot and load the channel list

A full power cycle is more reliable than the software restart.

  1. Unplug the power cable from the MAG box, wait about ten seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. Let the box boot fully. You should see a yellow loading bar as the portal connects.
  3. When loading completes, the Mint IPTV menu appears with TV, Video Club and Records.
  4. Open TV and select a channel. Setup is complete.

Troubleshooting

"Portal not found" or a blank screen

Almost always a typing error in the portal URL, or the MAC has not been registered yet. Re-check the address character by character, then confirm with support that your MAC is active.

The yellow loading bar freezes

The box cannot reach the server. Check Settings > System Settings > Network and confirm the MAG has an IP address. Reboot your router as well.

"Your account is blocked"

The MAC registered on our server does not match this box. This happens if you replaced the receiver or typed one character wrong when sending it. Send us the MAC again.

Channels load but freeze every few seconds

MAG boxes have limited buffering. Use an Ethernet cable rather than a Wi-Fi dongle, and avoid powerline adapters which introduce packet loss.

The portal worked yesterday and is empty today

Either the subscription expired or the box lost its network settings after a power cut. Check your renewal date first, then re-enter the portal URL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to send my MAC address?

MAG boxes have no login screen. The server recognises the box purely by its MAC address, so that address has to be linked to your subscription before anything will load.

Can I use my MAG subscription on a phone as well?

MAG lines are portal-based and tied to one device. If you also want to watch on a phone or TV, ask support for a matching M3U or Xtream Codes line.

Which MAG models are supported?

All of the common models work, including MAG 250, 254, 256, 322, 324, 349, 420 and 540. Older models are limited to HD rather than 4K.

I bought a new MAG box. Do I need a new subscription?

No. Contact support with the new MAC address and we will move your existing line across at no cost.
